I want another Corn snake
Heyy guys. I don't think ANYONE remembers me and its been a while since I've posted here..
My cornsnake is doing well besides the mutiple escape attempts in first few weeks.

Now, I've wanted something bigger..Ball pythons seem nice but I would like something I can handle daily without having to worry about it being stressed and not eating.

Decided to buy a BCI: Boa Constrictor Imperator...male of course..I wanted something about 6 feet or so that I can "wear" :grin01:
Buying it this week. Wish me luck and just wanted to say hi!

This is a great forum btw!!!!!! I can't find one like this for Boa Constrictors :bang: :wavey:

O yea. I forgot you can't edit posts here lol..I will posts when I get it :) Maybe in the photosection..I will keep updating. Thanks

I myself do prefer Red Tail boa's. My cousin has one and he's a real "looker". I would get one but they grow too big. Let me rephrase they are too big FOR MY MOM! Good luck getting one!

LoL. Yea, I like them lots and I love big snakes. I remember when I first my cornsnake I remembered that my parents don't like snakes. I remember thinking how Ball pythons are too big...Then after looking at pics on these forums I've alwaysssssss wanted my corn to be full grown and heavy. After months, nothing noticeable really...

Last week when I saw the Columbian Boa Constrictor I thought, "Man those are like Ball pythons". I went home and found out they get up to 11 feet or so on females. o.o I was like, I definately won't get one. Did more research, males grow up to 7-8 feet or so. Decided thats fine I guess..More research and pics, more interest...Woke up and said, "IM GONNA BUY IT".

Pics later :p

Have you considered one of the insular dwarf BCI's?
They don't get very large at all but have all the personality and feeding habits of the typical "redtails".

or...have you considered a Brazilian Rainbow Boa? amazing looking animal, gets about 6-8 feet...Im in love with mine

o_O what exactly are dwarf BCIs?
Wow, never heard of them before..That might've make me reconsider but I still love my new bci

dwarf BCIs include.... Calker(sp?) Cays, Nicaraguans, Blue fields locality Nicaraguans(a member on here has a pair of blue fields and their like 18+ months olds and still really small since their a dwarf species), and Hogg Island Boas

Weeee. havent yet named him. He's strong :eek1:
Sorry I couldn't get any good pics because of the lack of lighting and because I'm using my cheaper camera.

BTW, I think he's shedding too..

He looks really nice, Congratulations.

For the other alternatives in trying to get me a big one but not too big, thanks a lot but I'm sticking with cornsnakes.

that has AMAZING color!
thanks :) Hopefully the sides will become more vivid in color. I can't wait till after his first shed and the many after so that it'll become more vibrant.

I remember you - I recognise your avatar ;-)

Nice to see you around again, and congrats on the boa! Beautiful snake!
