Hi, ive had my snake for about 3 days and one thinve ive noticd, is that it is always hideing under the aspen, on the COLD side...the tank temp only reaches 82 and the humitity is always under 40. its closer to 20. is this all normal? are snakes generaly this boreing and not active?...hes 8-10 months old acording to the breeder.

Yes, this is all perfectly normal for a Corn Snake. Some get more active as they get older and more confident, but some like to stay hidden during the day and only venture out early morning, dusk or overnight. Bear in mind that your snake is very new. It can take weeks for them to settle into their new home - you just have to be patient and gentle, and see what happens.

Mine spend most of their time down the cool end, so that's nothing to worry about. As long as they have somewhere warm to go when they need it, that's fine.

how often should i handle the snake, and for how long?

After you give it a couple weeks to settle in, you can start handling it once every couple of days for a few minutes at a time. After that you can start moving up in frequency. Just remember this is all about minimizing the stress on the snake.

also, how worried should I be about geting diseasesfrom the snake? like selemonela and other things...

The risk of disease exists, but is pretty remote. Just wash/sanitize your hands after you handle it and you'll be fine. Also be sure to spot clean any feces as soon as you see it to help keep the cage sanitary.
