I was lucky enough to pick up this girl at the reptile expo last weekend. The seller had her labeled as a charcoal anery. He wasn't the breeder, but he had purchased her at our expo two years ago and the breeder at the time had told him that that was her morph. She's 3 feet, 9 inches long and 284 grams, and her name is Trillian. Does she look like a charcoal anery to you, or is she just an anery or just a charcoal? Doesn't matter to me, just like to make sure I have my morphs straight. :)

Here she is, still hoping to get a better pick in better lighting, but this will do for now. :)

Thank you! It will be a while before I'm ready to breed, and before I'd have anything old enough to breed her with, so for now I guess I'll assume the breeder that sold her to the guy I got her from knew what he was talking about, lol.

If and when I do breed her, do I need another charcoal anery to determine if she herself is charcoal anery, or is just a charcoal enough?

She's pretty. I know there's individual variation but she's way less brown than my Marcy, so I would say charcoal is likely. You can borrow Rigby to find out if she's anery if you want.

I missed the reptile expo! :( Found out about it on the day of. Probably for the best anyway.

I may take you up on that when the time is right, thank you! It was a good expo, although apparently one cleaning lady from the hotel walked in just after the exhibitors had set up, and ran screaming and sobbing from the room, lol. I probably shouldn't laugh, poor lady, but the mental image is just so funny, I can't help it, lol. The two day one is coming up in October, so you'll get another chance to go soon. ;)

Oh, the guy that sold me Trillian also still has a lovely sunglow for sale, same age and size, for $60. You know, if you're interested. :) I can give you his contact info if you are. :)

You're going to want to test first with just a charcoal. Breeding to a charcoal-anery won't necessarily give you the answers you want. If you get normals, she's not a charcoal.
