Hi, I have a female Ghost Cornsnake. Her name is Veronica. (I will put up a picture of her shortly) She was born at the end of June/05. She is just gorgeous but I am a little concern about something. I have only had her for 2 weeks now but went and changed her substrate from Bark to Aspen this week. She seems to be OK with the change but when I fed her last week, she ate the thawed fuzzy no problem at all, but now this week, she does not seem to be interested in eating.

Did I do something wrong? I feed her in her tank but I put the fuzzy on a piece of paper towel.

Any suggestions? I had tried feeding her twice in a row leaving the thawed fuzzy in her tank but still nothing. She is scavenging at night and drinks plenty of water.

Welcome to CS.com, Otissa. It sounds like she may be getting ready to start shed. A lot of corns don't like to eat during a shed cycle. Give her a couple days and watch for a change in her appearance. She'll start to get dull looking, her eyes will cloud over, and right before she sheds she'll clear up. Just give her a few days off from attempting to feed her and wait to see if she sheds. It can take a week or so, and it wont hurt her to not eat during this time :*)

Thank you very much for the reply. I will wait to see if she starts to shed. I never even thought about that at all.
