Hi,
I've had my cornsnakes since 2003. Here are Jasmine and Binky (Jasmine is the anerythristic one). I also have a yearling, Niblet (anerythristic motley), baby butter Orlando, and yesterday I got Bambino (red stripe) from the petstore. He looks about 1 1/2 years old. The petstore is flooded right now with cornsnakes that people decided they didn't want anymore and brought in. That makes me so sad! How could anyone not want that beautiful, gentle creature!?

Hi :wavey: welcome to the forum!

You have some beautiful snakes!

It is beyond me, also, how someone could not want to keep a cornsnake.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

You have some gorgeous corns there but, I must admit I have a soft spot for Butters so Orlando is my favourite.

Great disembodied hand pics too...lol

Hope you enjoy your time here, best wishes,

Welcome

Welcome - are you sure you didn't borrow my snake to take your last picture? I think they are probably the same age.

Having a pet store "flooded" with morph corns you can buy ain't always a bad thing ;)

Welcome to the site :*)

Wow, your snake is pretty, Luschen...boy or girl?

Is that a movie reference, cka? I don't know it...

I didn't mention that I have one more snake, Olivia, the love child of Jasmine and Binky. She was born this year, and looks exactly like her mother (Jasmine).
So here's Olivia, and a picture of her parents when I was giving them a bath. They seem to like that and I do it periodically. Also I asked them how to tie a knot, and they kindly obliged with a demonstration.

Thanks, otterwoman, Moxie is a girl. Can I ask you what size mice your 1.5 y/o snake is eating? I hope the ones I ordered are not too small. By the way, Red Stripe is a Jamaican beer - something like this:

I just got Bambino on Friday, so I'm going to feed him for the first time today. I actually have all their mice defrosting right now. I'm going to give him a medium sized fuzzy. I think he could probably manage a small adult mouse, but I want to start him easy. I feed all my snakes on Tuesdays in the winter, and on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the summer. I know it's Monday, but I won't have time tomorrow. I was so on the fence about getting him, because I have a lot of pets already, but I'm so glad I did! He's supergentle, even for a corn snake, and just so gorgeous.

Thanks, the reptile store where I bought Moxie gave me 6 mice to feed her. They seemed pretty big and she got it 3/4 of the way down then gave up. She tried again, but the same. So I went and bought her some smaller ones. And I just ordered a pack of "weanlings" from the Mouse Factory, so I'm hoping they won't be too small.

Bambino did great with his fuzzy, and when I saw him, I thought he wouldn't eat: his eyes were blue and he was all milky (about to shed and they usually don't eat then) but he sure did! I love it when they have great appetites like that.
