Hi everyone,

New to the board and new to snakes. Just wanted to say hello! Got my first corn (ghost male) coming tomorrow morning, so I'll get some pictures as soon as I can.

Jake

Howdy! Welcome to the forums and to the world of snake owning! It's absolutely awesome! :}

And I loooove Ghosts! My first snake was a Ghost, who unfortunately went MIA and never returned. Started with one, now I have five! You'll soon find that one isn't enough, too... :D

Welcome to CS.com and I hope you will enjoy your new addiction. As jlindp said, you start with just one and next thing you know there's more. We are now up to 20 and still adding more to the want list.

Welcome Jake, I'm a newbie in here, and am just over a month into my first snake! Hope you love it as much I do!

Pictures of the new guy! Happily exploring his new cage. Haven't picked out a name yet.

....I'm going to have to learn to take better pictures of him, but he's too quick for my camera.

Wow! He's a very pretty light Ghost. Don't you just love their colors and cute little blue eyes? Congrats on the cutie! :}

Yea I'm extremely happy with him. He took his first meal tonight without any problems.

Yay! Glad you're happy with him. But just for future reference, and I in no way mean to sound rude, so I hope I'm not coming off that way, but it's best for the snake to acclimate to its new home for at least a week, before any handling or feeding is done, especially if it's traveled a long distance overnight. Very stressful for a wee one!

Anyways, congrats again on the new baby! :D

jlindp,

your post wasn't rude at all, so thanks for the advice. Obviously it's too late now, but thanks for the advice down the line!

Welcome to cs, Jake.
You'll find a lot of very nice and very knowledgeable people here.
It sounds like you'll fit right in.
You got a happy looking ghost there.

yea I'm kinda surprised he ate so quickly after moving into a new place, but that should mean good news for you! Should have no feeding problems with him/her

Very pretty little snakey blur. Not your fault, just teasing -- they can be really fast. I am a lousy photographer so all my pics are blurs too.

Very cute little bugger. And yea.. It's harder than heck to get them to stay still for a picture :rolleyes: My older corn is a lazy bum most of the time, so it's easy to take pictures of him, but my younger girl.. good grief. I've had her for a month, and I've gotten maybe two good pictures of her so far. =]

Welcome to the addiction! I mean, hobby. :cool:

Woohoo! Kalessin had his first shed tonight. Since I've only had him for a week, I had no idea he was getting ready for a shed. I picked up his water bowl tonight though and there he was, laying next to a perfect shed.
