New viv?

So I got my baby corn back in early December. Shes still in a very small viv, i was going to upgrade it to a 10 gallon aquarium tank. I was going to add lots of hides ect, but yea, i was wondering is she ready? Is it too soon? She eats 2 pinks a week now, and is ravenous when she does eat them. Lump is barely visible in her belly after she swallows it and is long gone by the next day. Any advice on the viv? I have a heat lamp now, but i purchased a rainforest UTH for the new viv. Anyone used that one before? anyway, just a new mom lookin for some advice for my little lady :)

She would do fine in a 10g tank :) Also, how much does she weigh? May be time to bump her up to the next size feeder since she is not showing much of a bump after feeding..

When I got mine at a month old he went in to a 10 gallon! As long as you have plenty of hides (make sure to have one on the cool side and one on the warm side) you should be fine! If you can post more pics when you move your snake in to it that would be awesome! :)

Off topic but what's that substrate you using looks purple but that's the lighting?

Its a soft moist soil, not sure the brand exactly though i would have to get back to you on it. And its deep brown, not purple. I have a red heat lamp on the box shes in so it makes the dirt look different. :) its been good to her though. I'll probably use similar substrate in her new house that i get tomorrow. Its made for a prefect shed. Soon as i can get the pic on my computer ill show you guys. It was 100% intact, looked really awesome.

Well thats what i was thinking. But some people told me to feed her two pinkies at the same time? currently she just eats 1 twice a week around 4 days apart. Although this last batch of 12 pinks i bought last week were pretty small compared to the batch before.

Lol I know I post a lot on my baby. But I can't help it!!! lol I know I need another snake soon!

haha yea theyre great. The one in the pic is my first snake. I still havent named her, i just been calling her snakie :)
I have a turtle too, hes pretty rad, had him for 11 years now. But i get the feeling every time i see a pretty snake that i want to take it home heh.

haha yes! I thought so, it just sotra fell on her haha. and yea good old Norbert, had him since he was no bigger then a loonie. now hes in a 180 gallon tank.

Question? you ever tried to grow real grass in a viv? I was considering this, thought perhaps it might be a good place for hiding or something.

No I haven't! But if you post it in a new thread I'm sure someone around here has knowledge on that!

My corn is on two pinkies but it isn't suggested for long if they can easily eat two without a lump. Be switching to peach fuzzies or fuzzies (whatever size fits) I will be switching this weekend (I hope) when I get my check!

For the grass. I seen the new thread and someone sited the page. I would find it a real pain to keep clean and alive. It is cool but be long to grow.
;)
