Newbie corn owner with an older snake

Hello peoples i have just today been given a corn as the family who had him before couldnt look after him anymore, i have been told that he is roughly 3-4 years old but he seems fairly big for the age but i am new to this, i am not sure of the sex i am just assuming hes a male lol, he is roughly 3 1/2 feet long and about an inch thick, he is an orange colour with big red spots.

Hes a beautiful snake and i want to give him the best life possible so any advice you can give me in the way of feeding patterns, handling advice absolutly anything would be greatly appreciated.

many thanks.

Welcome! He sounds beautiful... an inch thick doesnt sound too big for me. Some members have some huge adults on here LOL.

Here is the Munson plan that many people use.

-When they're on single pinks (2-3g), I feed every 5-6 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
-Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 6-7 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
-Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 30-50g)
-Hoppers (9-12g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 51-90g)
-Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
-Adult (20-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+) See below.
Adult females are fed more frequently than adult males (especially following brumation). Adult females are fed every 7-12 days; adult males are fed every 11-14 days.

We all like Pictures of new snakes :)

Oh ya post pics :)

At 3-4 years old, it's just hit adulthood, so not particularly old by Corn standards. They live 15+ years in captivity, so you still have many happy years of ownership ahead!

3 1/2 feet is about right for a just-adult Corn, although may have a few more inches to add yet. All depends on genetics, feeding, metabolism and a number of other factors.
