I don't actually own a corn yet (shhhh!). I recently rescued a california king snake (named Gucci) from my roommate who had been giving her a less-than-maintenance diet for the last two years. She's currently 23 grams and ~16 inches and just went blue for her first shed since I took over her care! I'm very excited.

I came across this site while looking for information on setting up her cage and found it to be a great source of information. I've been thinking about getting into snakes for a while (I work in a lab that studies them) and am now considering buying a corn over the summer.

I wanted to thank you all for the great info on this board. I know it's aimed at corns but a lot of the basics have been really helpful for me to get things set up for Gucci. I'm sure it will also be helpful when I go to select my next snake!

welcome
and on behalf of the snake thank you. 2 years old and only 23 grams, that is a shame. look up munson plan here on the forum, should work for kings too.
