Thought I'd post this on this forum as well. I also had it on b-p.net.

At the Tinley show I'll be on the look out for a Fire Skink (or other cool lizard), a western hog (if they're even there), and one or two corn morphs.

So here are my choices of my future morphs? Which one do YOU think I should get?
Currently I have a Snow, Amel. Het Arnery, Unproven Crimson.

Also, if anyone knows, what happens when I cross a Snow x Amelanistic Het. Arnery?
Will I get Amels and Arnerys?

Thanks everyone!

50% snows, 50% amel het anery is what Micks Progeny Predictor says. I like lavender morphs myself... But I have two beautiful bloodreds (from Drizzt80, Brent). I can't decide what you should get, because except for the yellow morphs and heavy bordered morphs, I think they are all gorgeous!

I just looked it up, apparently he's Amel. 100% Anery/Snow. Do you have a link to this program by chance?
A lot of people are suggesting the bloodreds. I think I might have to look into one.

I agree... I really like everything I have and now, I'm just trying to make sure that IF I want to breed something true, I have the means to do so (ie. a pair). I've been looking for a female Ghost Bloodred, but everyone has to sell in pairs, so I'm trying to be patient and wait for something to show up.

I had been eye-ing another something earlier, but was waiting for its "pair" to become established... Still waiting for that to come thru (or not ).

So, I had to answer "other" given your list!

I hope it's not MY platinum! I swear, I'm going to have to go to our Gilbert office and "fall" into your house to "borrow" all your great snakes. Seriously though, I need pics, if/when you get the platinum.

The link is http://home.comcast.net/~spencer62/cornprog.html for the progeny predictor. I play with it all the time! It's fun.

I don't know... maybe there's another person in the loop? I'm hoping, but perhaps I should have been more "Pro-active" when I saw them for sale.

As for the progeny predictor... its fun, but it would be MORE fun if I had pics to go with whatever it spits out at the end! LOL.

"You have broken what could not BE broken! Hope... is... broken...."

I hope you get them... They are beautiful. I always google the pics... But I have great google-fu most of the time.

My vote goes to blood. They're incredible looking animals on their own, and then you throw some of the morph possibilities in with them, and it TOTALLY makes 'em worth it. I can't wait til 2010/11... It'll be the season of ghost bloods for me! muahahaha

I think you should get a Bloodred. I really like them, they are goregous. I was debating on whether to get a Bloodred or a Fire, I choose a Stripe Fire, yay I'm so excited to get him.:crazy02:

Good luck in choosing a snake or you could just get them all, lol.

I saw some on kingsnake you should check there.

My apologies to the OP! I completely went the wrong way with this... However, I DO agree with Robbie and Iguanagirl... You gotta go with the bloods. They're AMAZING!

Aha, no apology required.
I hijack topics all the time.. :]

I'm probably going to look for a nice blood at the show, and as a backup (due to my other forum) I'll be on the look out for a nice blizzard.
:D

The only thing I don't like about it is that when I pick certain crosses, like Bloodred x Snow.. I get 3 types of hets.. but I don't know if their co-doms so I'm not sure if their visual hets or not..
So I don't know if it makes something which doesn't help me to choose if I want a female or male.. ahah.

Best generator I've seen so far though!

I am just figuring out the genetics myself, but I do know you need two hets (one from each parent) to make homozygous, and usually only homo is displayed in the animal. But there are exceptions... It's confusing!

I voted bloodred. It'd be cool if you could find one of the opposite sex of your snow or amel het anery, that was het amel or anery or both. Probably be tough to find one het snow, but you never know. Even het lavender would be nice, or hypo. You never know what you're going to want to do in the future. If you find one with nice hets, a male is more versatile.

Look at Jay and PJ's page, the GeneticGenWizard is excellent! I used to love Mick's till I tried that one.

I'm much more educated with ball pythons you see. There are only a couple known dominant gene morphs, there are quite a few co-dom morphs, and a lot of simple recessive.
Homozygous Co-dominant genes create a new animal other than the Heterozygous Co-dominant gene, which is different from a normal as well.
There is no such living Homozygous Dominant, and in order for a Simple Recessive to show, it must be Homozygous.

What I need is a list of morphs that are corns, displaying Dom, Co-Dom, and Recessive traits.

I know it's not popular opinion, but I love butter stripes! I'm gunning for one at the show! Hence why I voted that way...

I love butters too, don't worry. ;]
