Hello, quick question. We saw a nicuraguan boa at the expo yesterday and my husband really liked him. We heard the males only get to max 4 feet long. The guy was asking $40 for him. The problem is I had heard these guys can have a real attitude on them. Does anyone know some truth about these guys? He is already almost full grown. Thanks

Issue with adults is that they are less likely to tone down if indeed they are mean- it's also hard to say for sure at an expo what kind of an attitude they have.
In general, Nic's aren't bad... some of them can end up nippy and that's partially due to the fact that they are not as far removed from the original WC generation as Colombian Boas are.

However, I have 6 Central American Boas... only one of them is mean.

I agree with what Oren has stated.

I have some Nics and none, of them, are nippy or mean. They have very nice temperaments and are great about being handled.:)
