NJ Law ?

That is really strange! Does it have to do with distinguishing captive bred corns from wild corns?

Because it seems like a genetic mutation would allow for a wild corn to be born albino, and therefor have red eyes (?)

Maybe its just something else entirely :/ still that's very weird.
Oh well, I think albino morphs with red eyes are very pretty :)

Yeah, I think it's because it's illegal to collect from the wild, so they want to idiot proof their system so they can tell what's been bred vs wild-caught. I would imagine.

Don't get me wrong, the red eyes are awesome, I just hate limitation and love the brown tones in the traditional corns.

Oh okay I see :) Yeah looks like corns are endangered where you live, so that kind of makes sense.

But I totally agree, limitations are no fun especially where there are so many fabulous corn morphs out there

So what happens if you hatch out normals?

I believe the "thinking" behind this is if you only have red eyes snakes you won't breed normals and possibly release them back into the will disturbing the cycle!! yeah right!
Basically they adopted this red eye law without knowing anything about corns or the hobby. And nobody asking either because if they look in to it any farther they will but more restriction on it, believing that if you over regulated it will be better for species. Of course overdevelopment didn't hurt anything. How can tax ratables hurt anything. :headbang:
