No Lump??

I just fed my corn a pinkie about 6 hours ago and it left almost no lump in her at all. Right now shes wandering around her cage and seems like shes still looking for food. Would it be ok to feed her maybe one more before i go to sleep? The pinks im feeding her are very small and it really seems like it left no noticable lump in her belly?

If it leaves no lump then you need 2 move up in food size from wat ive heard. And i dont think theres a problem 2 feed it 2 pinks if its still hungry but i also dont no that much.

yeah by the sounds of it, it wasnt enough for her, a good size mouse for a snake would be the same size of their girth, no matter how the mouse looks against its tiny head, you'll be surpised, they can eat it.

I didnt feed it..

I didnt feed her two yesterday like i had planned, but now i feel i should feed her another today. Is it ok to go ahead and feed her another today or should i wait for her next feeding to feed two?

no today should be fine, but just make sure if poops before you feed her the next 2. lol. :)

Next time try 2

I am feeding my little one 2 pinkies each feeding, and he is doing just fine. I've done it four times now, and only once(the third time i fed him 2) he only ate one of them. I think it was because the first one was a pretty good sized pinkie. Anyway, i am waitinhg for him to get just a bit bigger so i can move up to fuzzies! I can't wait! They grow so fast!

thanks!

Thanks everyone for all thier help. The store i bought her from is considered a reptile speciality and breeder store but they help so very little!

I found that too; as knowledgeful as some of them pretend to be, you're more likely to find what you're looking for on here!

Back on topic, please don't worry yourself too much. Cornsnakes often like to play hunter and patrol around the viv but it doesn't necessarily mean you're starving them. They can go a long time hungry so you won't do her any harm, but if one pinkie's just not cutting it pop two in next time :) Use your instinct and you won't go far wrong.

Sometimes when my snake was growing he'd leave the second pinkie and I was worried it wasn't enough, so I would offer one a couple of days after the first - never had a problem (touch wood) and he's huge now. Mind you, he is a bottomless pit :\
