No poop?

kickflare

Crazy snake Lady
Hey people.

Ayesha is finally starting to settle in amd I fed her three days ago. As I was doing water changes I noticed that there's no poop in her tank. Her bedding isn't very thick amd so far she's not burrowed into it or anything.

How long do hatchlings take before they poop? Coz with the two adult snakes they pooped two days after eating.

Hi kickflare!! How ya been?

I wouldn't worry too much about Ayesha, as long as you don't see anything wrong in her behavior, because with hatchlings, you're better of going with what you DO see than with what you DON'T. Their poops are easy to miss, especially depending upon the types of bedding that can sorta swallow it up, though that IS a gross choice of words (sorry, just having coffee so my eyes are still like 2 pissholes in the snow!).

I have a yearling (Ozzy) who STILL confounds me when I clean his viv sometimes as I just can't figure out where he puts it all without letting anything out! Other times, I walk in the room and I can SMELL it before I see it right out in the open as if he did it on purpose because he knew I'd be looking and he didn't want me to tear his house apart looking!

As they get older, their poops are easier to find (if you don't see it, I can guarantee you'll smell it)!!

WHEW! My eyebrows curl just writing about it!!!

Hehe okay. I'll bear that in mind. Xd

I'm doing really well thanks axis. I finally figured out how to do the album thing on here so there's a couple of pictures of ayesha in there. Including her pretending to be a bracelet that was taken last night. Xd

Very cute pix! My Ozzy loves to do the same! But she's not as small as I pictured her, although she IS just as cute as could be!

With the type of bedding you use, it's very possible that her poop & urates became absorbed and then disintegrated when you were spot-cleaning. It happens.

I really wouldn't let it rent a lot of space in my head, if I were you!!

Congrats on such a beautiful snake!!

I use aspen chips for bedding since it seems to be the least dusty. So far because I haven't spotted any poops I've not done any spot cleaning although I have been looking for wet patches as well. There's nothing. Although sterling is a different story. First thing he did was leave a MASSIVE poop in his water bowl. -.-

XD thanks but its the first time I've been pooped on by a snake xD I was looking after a friend's corn snake, 3 year old Fang. He COVERED my legs in poop. Seriously.. I've only ever seen BABIES poop that much before, and it didn't smell too bad either. xD my daughter's poop smelt worse xD

I was hoping I wouldn't get pooped so soon after getting her though xD That means it'll be sterling's turn to poop on me and i'll officially be they're human mommy xD
