Nocturnal or Diurnal?

Some places say corn snakes are diurnal, while others claim them to be nocturnal. Which are they? Acorn seems to be active whenever he feels like it, night or day. Just earlier today, I walked in on him exploring his home. He kept moving around for 20 mins plus before I left. But during the night I sometimes see him out and about as well.

Had to look that one up lol but I agree with the girls. Mine tend to come out as the sun is going down, not so much after it's dark.

I think it depends on the snake. I have one that only comes out at night (corn snake) and then my others tend to be out day and night, depending on their mood and what im watching on tv....:shrugs:

:laugh01: I have always wondered what animals think about TV...

I was unaware of the term "crepuscular", but that does seem to fit since the sun was just starting to set when I saw acorn exploring. Thanks!

Semi-nocturnal. Mine only comes out during the night when it is absolutely pitch black, but I've read they are most active at dusk and dawn.

Crepuscular for sure. I keep my snake room dimly lit for that reason... they tend to be out and about a bit more for me. :D
