Hi all
Just bought a snow corn for my son and daughter(ok and myself). We found a scarlet king on our back porch last week, and decided to try and keep him. However, he has refused anything we've tried to feed him, and is just to jumpy. so, when I told the kiddies that we'd have to let him go, they got upset. Off to the pet store! So, we now have a very young corn that I believe is a snow albino. Beautiful snake. I've had a couple of snakes when I was younger, including a red corn.
Anyway, just saying hi, and thanks for all the great info.

1. Snakes don't have that advanced reasoning capability.

2. Wild caught snakes sometimes just won't eat in captivity. It just happens.

Jasbus, welcome to the forums. There is plenty of care info in old posts and in the FAQ section. If you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I've had wild caught snakes before, I know they can be over-stressed and not do well in captivity. I found a good reptile store close by, they jumped at the chance to have a scarlet king. I told them I would stop by in a week, to see how he was. They said I could bring him back and free him if he didn't do well in a month or so. We'll see.
Just getting the newbie used to his new digs. Handling him very little. My son and daughter are going crazy, all they want to do it hold him.
He's a very slinder snake, I'm thinking I'll have to split his first pinkie in two, the pet store said they had fed the whole bunch the day before, so I was thinking I'd wait a few days til he got used to his new environment...
Thanks for the warm welcome.
