Hi all!

I have been doing lots of research on corns, as I was planning on getting one for my science classroom.

There's a retired teacher who has a menagerie of assorted herps, (including some large Burmese pythons), and he substitute teaches in my building. I asked him what he knows about corn snakes, and he told me he's got one that he'll give me for free, including cage and accessories.

Her name is Maize and she's around 8 or 9 years old:

The kids (7th graders) have taken a real interest in her, and she's a docile snake that's great with handling.

The one problem that I foresee is that I'm going to want to get more corns!!!:crazy01:

That's always exciting to the kids. I can remember how much fun it was, when a pet or demonstration was brought into the classroom and we had the opportunity to learn about the different animals. Snakes especially, because of how misunderstood they are.

Actually, what am I kidding, I still get excited and I'm not in a class room, per se. LOL!!

Good luck and if you need anything, please don't be hesitate to ask!

Welcome to the forum, as well!

Wayne
