Normal '10 and hypo '11 Baird's Ratsnakes

I did an impromptu photoshoot with my two Baird's ratsnakes. Belle is my normal subadult ('10) and Yorke is my baby hypo ('11). Sorry about the grey snakes in a grey tub, all my tubs are grey for some reason.

The first pic shows the differences in their sizes, baby vs. adult pattern, and general color.

The second and third pics are closeups of their faces and upper body patterns.

The fourth picture makes it look like i have three snakes in the tub, but that is just Belle's lower body diagonally across the picture (Belle still has some very faint baby markings that need to fade on her upper body).

The last picture is a baby picture of Belle (taken about 14 months ago) to compare the normal and hypo baby pictures, but to also show the huge difference a year makes in the patterns these snakes display.

I cannot wait to see how both of these girls look in the future!

They look awesome very pretty I really love this last picture the color is just beautiful nice pics of them all. ;)

Love the hypos. I sold mine off this year, but they are still one my favourite looking snakes. Youre baby is gorgeous.

Thanks, its a good thing my baby is pretty, cuz she is kind of a spaz. She is pretty cute when she rattles her tail like she is all big and bad :)

I am a huge fan too! The older one in the pictures above is my second snake I have ever had and she is such a sweet snake. She is even calmer than my corn snake. I can sit with her wrapped around my arm for hours. The little one in the pictures above, like I said before, is a bit of a spaz, but she is calming down little by little.

I actually was looking at the Baird's that you had for sale a while back, but it was just not a good time for me to get another snake right at that time since I was getting ready to move. I have also been following your thread about Cain's surgery...I hope he is doing well!

I think they are much more active than corns, and they are generally a little larger too. I love the extra heft they have to them, and they are just so mellow! I really want a T+ or hypo bairds... they turn into stunning adults!

Thanks for asking about Cain, he is doing well, and seems to be recovering just fine. :)
