Normal Behavior

We have a four month old corn that we have had for one week now. I have read many articles on corns and Bartlett's book-still waiting for the Love's book to arrive. Very little mentioned about normal behavior. Is it normal for them to have very active days and then days where they hide out much of the time (outside of shedding time)?

yes, that is pretty normal. What you might be seeing is they are cruising the cage when they start to get hungry. They will also do this when they get to a breeding age and they are looking for a mate. They may hide while they are digesting their food or getting ready to go into pre-shed. Or when they are just feeling vulnerable, for whatever reason. I think that snakes might have more of a brain than people give them credit for.

with sue.

I have only kept snakes for just less than 2 year,i know with my snakes for the 3/4 days after a feed they keep themselves out of sight, digesting.

Then they come out, go to the toilet, and are realy active for the next couple of days till next feed.
