Normal Behavior?

Thought I'd just ask and make sure.

Arshess has been slithering around the sides of her viv. rubbing her nose all over, moving up and down, and all over the place. She has also been doing this on the top screen covering, too. I don't quite think that she's shedding, cause I've never seen her go into blue. And, neither has her colors dulled. I'm thinking that this is normal corn behavior; probably the escapist side of her showing thorugh.But, just to make sure, I wanted to ask you guys. So, any opinions?

My first thought was she's trying to shed. But if you don't think that's the case, then you'd likely be right in your second guess. She's probably trying to find a way to escape.

My snake does this, I just think its an act of boredom, trying to find the weakest points of the tank for possable escape methods. Another thing check for mites, if your snake feels itchy might be mites, or dehydration in RARE cases. Just make sure waters clean, fresh, and theirs no little buggys going about. Other then that the behavior sounds perfectly normal.

Are you absolutely sure that your snake is a female? It's breeding time for corns and that's the type of behavior that males exhibit during this time of year (restless, looking for females).

Uhm...I'm pretty sure shes a girl. My friend tried popping her and nothing "popped" out.

As for there being mites, I highly doubt it. I always take a look at her when I take her out. And, I always look around her viv. to make sure. I'm really paranoid about bugs being on her or in her tank.

Being dehydrated might be out of the question too. But, I don't know. Since my bf said that yesterday, she was drinking water from her bowl for 10-15 seconds straight, without stopping, twice. But, I doubt she is, because I always provide her with fresh clean water.

Most likely it might be boredome. Any other suggeations guys?

Erm...sorry for the double post. Don't know how to remove it. >.<;;;

Anyway...so an update to her behavior that's actually new. I just took her out and she seems a bit too excited or frantic. Usually, when I take her out she squirms for a bit, then settles down to slowly slithering around. Right now, she's just moving all over the place. Not to mention she's "sniffing" alot. When I say sniffing, she's audibly exhaling. Is this normal? o_O It is kinda hot/warm here. So, I'm assuming it's because of the room temp. It's around 80-84 right now.
