Normal or Not?

Hi there,

This baby anery is my first cornsnake and I was wondering if her behavior is normal.... She hatched on July 7 this past summer, so she's about 3.5 months old. Shes been eating and shedding fine....the thing is.... whenever I try to handle her, she slithers through my fingers for a minute or two, then she curls up in the palm of my hand and just chills there. No issues with trying to strike or biting me... she just curls up and goes to sleep... Weird? Or am I just being paraniod??

Agree with the others! My first corn was like that and he was the coolest snake ever! He stayed that calm.

Aww!! That's like my Kiyo :) she has been THE sweetest snake since I got her...never tried to bite or flee. Just loves to hang out. She especially likes to make a "bracelet" around my wrist lol...Omnom on the other hand is just starting to not bite when I handle him

lol My Honey is sweet like that, sounds like your Omnom could be related to my Bite Bite somewhere though

It didn't take long at all for Sneak to grow out of her baby "Aaahh you're coming to get me!" phase, but even since calming down, she's virtually always 'on the move' when I handle her. I love the very rare occasion when she just sits and chills. But, she is just a yearling. I assume she'll continue to mellow and slow down even more as she ages. :)

That's so cute that silver just curls up in your palm! Adorable.

I wish mine was that calm. He is a lil more highstrung. He eventually quits wanting to explore and just chills wrapped around 2 or 3 of my fingers. Its pretty cool once he relaxes and quits being so nosey. LOL
