not eating

My female, who normally eats readily, has decided to ignore her food at her regularly scheduled feeding. I was wondering what might cause this. She shed 2 wks. ago, and is normally a voracious eater. She doesn't at all seem ill, and is active as hell just like always. I've only had her for 4 months, so I don't know all their patterns yet. Is this normal? She's 6 yrs. old. Any comments from more experienced folks?

funny thing... happend to my girl... i talked to some herps.. they thought she was in heat... turns out... she wasnt in heat she dropped eggs two months after buying her.

Snakey might be frisky ;) Don't worry about her yet, they can go for extended periods of time without food as I'm sure you know.

If I were you I'd check everything in the vivarium is as it should be, keep an eye on her for other symptoms just in case, and don't offer food again for a couple of weeks.

A lot of snakes do this yearly. I didn't make the connection when my 4 year old male stopped eating and started zooming erratically around the viv - until I came here of course. Sure enough in about 6 weeks he forgot about ladysnakes and started eating again :)
