Odd Baby Corn Mannerisms

So my fiancee has her first corn of her own, and we've noticed it doing a couple weird things when she holds the little rascal. Firstly, I'll just go ahead and say that all of the conditions in the tank are good, heat is where it needs to be, aspen substrate, 10g tank, etc. I personally have 4 corns which are all thriving so I made sure she was set up right.

The weird part is when she goes to hold the baby though. When she tried to inspect the head and gripped the snake just behind its neck(not too firmly so as to injure), the corn went into an almost trance like state. I locked eyes with her and would not move. As soon as she blocked its vision, it would move again.

Second behavior: When she holds the baby, it will sometimes stretch partially down her forearm and rub itself back and forth along her arm. My fiancee thinks it just likes the sensation of the stubly little hairs, but I'm not too sure.

Sorry for the rambling, but anyone have any insight on this?

I don't know, sounds normal to me. Most of mine that I handle a lot will sit perfectly still if I grab behind their heads (like if I need to look at their face or something, I don't usually grab my snakes by their heads lol). The going back and forth just sounds like it's trying to find something to hold on to.

Our two hatchlings wiggle up and down my arm. They really like a bracelet I have made of cordage. They do a whole scootchy dance across it. It seems pretty normal. Don't know about the head holding part. I don't do that.
