What do you think of this?

I got in several corn and milksnakes on a deal a couple weeks ago. Didn't really have time to do anymore than set them up and feed them (been very busy) but I did see a few of them are "different" enough to peak my interest. So today I finally had some time to take some pics. Heres one I"d like some opinions on.

This little girl was marked as "Male Candy Cane". Her color is very orange. I'd be tempted to say completly orange~ no red at all. The pics do pretty good justice to her colors on my Monitor~ hopefully yours is showing it. I thought she was just in shed so a bit faded~ but she shed out this week. Thats her color. And when I was taking her pics I noticed she has a completly clear belly?? What do you make of that?

Yeah, they're motleys selected for the "banded" look. It threw me off at first too. When I think "motley", I think of joined saddles and ovals. Of course, by definition, motleys can have highly variable dorsal patterns. :)

Yep. I have worked with Banded Motley lines as well as Amel Milksnake Phase lines, your little one looks like it could fall into either one. Milksnake Phase can even have plain bellies and not be homo motley. I wish I could post some pics for you but I am having a few computer problems at the moment and I am on crappy dial up at work. It may be fun to do a search on Banded Motleys or even Amel Banded Motleys to get some shots to compare her too.

I have a couple of young motley banded amels - I really like them. I saw some photos of some really nice ones on Don's SMR site - take a look and see if they are still there.

Here are a couple of mine for comparison...I have three classic girls who all have different colours to them, but no male. I've seen the amel bandeds, and one or two snows. I'd like to work on snows and anerys.

I really like the looks of yours, JM.

Wow, I checked out the links and now I'm pretty excited about this little girl!

Just an interesting side note~ check out the adult female Candy cane I got in the same deal. She has belly checkers~ so she is not "motley" but boy does she sure look like the amel banded motley's posted on Don's South mountian site!

I got a hell of a good deal on these snakes~ and the more I look at them~ the more I see what a great deal I got!!

Check out this pretty girl~ 250 grams~ will hopefully breed for me this year!

Looks like a mix between these two :) As Carol mentioned, she has some banded mot and milk phase mot lines. I got one from each.
