My little oddball, if you look at it eyes from one side it is ultramel and from the other side amel. Well in the eye department anyways. The little one so far does not act right, I hope it is ok. It has not come out of the egg as of yet to tell anymore about it. Anyone have any input on this?

Is that for sure what's going on, and not lighting, a reflection of dark bedding, camera angle or so forth? That would be the definition of paradox, but there are so many dogs with two eyes colors at this point I barely notice it when one comes in my shop now. I'd wager that trait will at some point be reproducible. So of course, you will have to keep that animal! I too, hope it is okay.

Nope is not camera angle or lighting, is how the little one looks. You can see in the pic of the top of its head how the dark eye side has the bluish eye liner on top and the amel looking side does not. Thank you very much for all the input.

Neat! Good luck with him/her. I'd name it Bowie.

Looks like the little one has a kink in its neck not bad but still there. If it lives I will keep it as a pet as long as it has a good quality of life.
Here are the body pics. Only one little dark spot that looks different, well and it seems to have better diffusion on the dark eye side.
Took these without flash. So not the best pics.

Aw he's so cute hope he's ok. Are kinks inheritable or does it just happen by chance?Beautiful snake!

I would bet with this baby, it is not inheritable. He obviously had some major genetic monkey business going on at an early stage of development!

cool

Looks half Ultramel/half Amel
I have about 9 clutchs this year they wont start hatching till next month sometime this is the latest I started breeding them ever! Congrats on the baby!

Thank you, most of the breeding I did this year was from the red factor ultramel I got from you. Trying to get a good male so he can eventually retire here. Seems like everything I get I want to hold back turns out female from him lol.
