Odin, '11 caramel ghost stripe

Caryl

BrightHope
Three years ago I fell in love with Jeff Mohr's caramel ghost stripe male. I bought a pair of triple-het caramel babies (Ollivander and Sceptre) hoping to produce magical hatchlings down the road. This spring I bred them for the first time. After three years of dreaming I was blessed with a gorgeous clutch. Sweetness of sweetness, I got my long awaited caramel ghost stripe. He about 7 weeks old now and I'm still amazed every time I look at him. So here's Odin at last!
Thanks for looking.

Thank you. I also think he was worth the wait. It was a breathtaking moment when I checked on hatching clutch and realized that I actually had what I'd been wishing for after three years, with odds being so small that I'd get one.

He has a great personality, too, inquisitive and friendly. His daddy was like that from the time I got him, and nearly all of his babies are the same way.

Awww he is so pretty! Hugs and kisses your way from his brother, who totally has that same personality and has got to be one of the most confident hatchling I have. I still don't know how you parted with Cappuccino but I'm sure glad to have him! Must see progression pics of Odin in a few months.

Very awesome! Congrats! That morph was one of my favorite...not quite a ghost but silvery enough to be awesome!

Congratulations!! I love that feeling of hitting the target morph! Both times this year it happened to me with Hatchling Number One, too!! Takes a lot of pressure off the rest of the eggs...

Indeed! It really puts all the challenges and tough times in their proper place. I had a terrible year last year, but this season has more than made up for it. Odin's clutch was the first one to hatch, though he wasn't the first to emerge. The last clutch of the first round had the gorgeous caramel diffuse babies from Artephius and Charm, and included the twins. I've been really blessed this year, and I'm decidedly grateful!

Right back at ya! It was really hard sending Cappuccino off to somewhere new, but I'm so happy that you've got him. I know he's loved and cared for - and I get to see pictures as he grows. ;)

I love the silvery-with-a-hint-of gold. I'm going to enjoy watching the colors develop on this fellow.

Thanks for the compliments, everybody. I love being able to share the feeling with people who understand what it means to hatch just exactly what I hoped for, planned for, and waited for over three years.
