I was feeding Kaa last weekend, and had just put him in his feeding bin. He was all excited, as usual, and lifted his head up past the hinge of the lid, so I went to nudge him back down so he wouldn't get pinched when I closed it. Big mistake, lol, he was in total feeding mode and nailed me! Definitely felt this more than the couple of times he nipped at me in his viv, but still didn't hurt really, just a prick, but he did draw blood, which I'm weirdly proud of, lol. He was a good boy though, and let go as soon as he realized I wasn't a mouse! :)

Still amazes me how he fits all 27.5" of himself in that 4" pot, lol.

I know how you feel! The few times I have been bitten, I've been so proud of my bite and wanted to look at it all the time. Weird!

The plant picture is very cute.

LOL, yeah, we snake folks are weird, aren't we? :) I showed everyone that picture and my wee little scab, lol.

Thanks, I put a couple of potted plants in there as an experiment, and he LOVES them! I'm planning on eventually doing a live planted viv for him now. :)

I put an ice cream container with the mouse in my girl's vive (for extra calcium... kidding! It's a clean container!) and lately she'd been creeping closer and closer when I put it in, rather than hiding until I close the vive.

Hopefully I don't end up like you! ;)

Gorgeous corn by the way.

Why yes, yes we are, and that is why so many of us get along here so well! I posted my first bloody bite (have had lots of strikes before, no blood) on Facebook! My scabs are down to red bumps, but I scar really easily so I hope they stay in the bite pattern as little white dots!

LOL, I would have posted my picture on FB, but my mom is on there, and she's terrified of snakes, so seeing that pic would have totally undone all my hard work convincing her of how adorable and harmless Kaa is, lol.

I'm still waiting for the first ice cream truck to come by so I can find out what kind Kaa likes, LOL

Ice cream truck? Haven't seen an ice cream truck in a good 15 years, probably because all the kids are inside all the time, I hardly ever see kids outside playing like we did growing up!

We don't have nearly as many as we used to here, but they still come around from time to time. :)

I hope so too for your sake! :)

I scar really easily too, but Kaa's teeth are too small at this point to even cause much of a scab, which has already disappeared, so if I want a snake bite scar, I'll have to let him bite me again when he's much bigger. Not so sure I'm up for that, lol. We'll see. :)

LOL, exactly! Too bad for him I work Saturdays, so he has to wait until evening to get fed! :p I still have to wait to weigh him to be sure, but I'm pretty sure today will be the day he gets to move up from hoppers to weanlings, woohoo! :)
