Alright, well the 4 eggs i have left are doing fine there coming along the last stages of hatching, but ive ran in to problems. the rotten eggs that are attached to the other good eggs have attracted unwanted friends like nats and red ants. what do i do?

Phorid flies are a common occurrence whenever you have pets of any kind and their waste...and they are almost impossible to completely eliminate. But if you are also getting ants in your incubation container, you have a bigger problem and need professional pest control help.

is there something i can do for know to keep them safe, will the ants hurt them? should i change the peralite to knew? i moving them to my mom. hopefully the bugs will disperse but should i change the peralite before i move them so the old bugs don't go with?

Are they not in a container that is bug tight. If not, get clean perlite and put them in a tuperware that the bugs can't get into.

Its just a normal shoe box container that u get from .99 cent store. I don't think any container is bug proof but i know what u mean get a better box. I'm afraid to move them around to much hate to scare the babies into not pipping.

what i did for know till i could go to the store i had to get them out of the substrate to many ants. so i took a small container put damp paper towels in it cleand off the eggs with a small paint brush and a qtip put them in the other conatiner with the paper towels took the bigger container i had filled the bottom with a lil bit of water and put the lid on.. i hope this will work.. man i really hated to mess with this..but i had no choice.
