Online Breeders (vmsherp.com)

Erika N.

Waiting in anticipation!
Hello,

Has anyone had any transactions with vmsherp.com, the online breeder(s)?

I really want one of their caramels but I'm afraid to purchase anything from them with out some type of recommendation or such. If you, or someone you know, has had any contact/transactions please contact me. Email would probably be better but posting directly here would also be appreciated.

Thanks for your time,
Erika

I'm really glad it seems as if others have purchased and had good results from him. It makes me feel a lot better about my own possible purchase.

I did try that (it was actually the first thing I did) but, just putting in vsmherps.com came up nothing. I realize now that it probably would have been better to search for Sean Niland instead.

As was said many, many members have Sean's snakes. I have over 30 from him and he is a great shipper and ships year around.

30! WOW!!!

Do you have a particular favorite that you got from him?

I just wish I had the money to spend on some of them. :(

But, if I do not find what I am looking for at our local Reptile Expo then I do think that I'll be doing some business with him in the near future. :)

I got my hypo motley het lav from VMS. Very pleased.

So far all I have heard was good things about Sean and the only real negative was about leopard geckos (which I believe is his wife's area).

How old is your hypo motley now? Or, was it one of the '11 babies?

Sean was great! Both of my snakes are from him, he has some really beautiful ones :) He's also really great at answering all of your questions promptly, I'd suggest him highly.
I'm always looking all over for snakes, but I always end up going back for one of his lol.

As everyone has said, you should have absolutely zero reservations about purchasing a snake from Sean Niland. His snakes are top-notch. My very first mail-order snake came from VMS, and was followed by several more!

But FYI- if you look in the New Members section, I have a sticky called something like What is the BOI and Why Should I Care? You should read that and get to know the Board of Inquiry, which is on our sister site, Fauna Classified. Always check the BOI before buying any snake, from anyone, even me, and read all the way through any thread because it doesn't always end up how it starts out.

Also, you might consider checking out the classifieds on this forum also. I have not personally ordered a snake from VMS, but I have read and heard from several people that recommend them.

If you are wanting to avoid shipping Indianapolis, Noblesville, and now Fort Wayne, IN have Reptile Shows and Expos. I will say that I have only noticed the more common morphs (amel, anery, snows, butters, bloodreds, hypos, etc) at the few shows, I have been to. Be sure to ask question about the corns at the shows.
