Only 1 egg - a slug. What to do?

Searching For Truth
My gravid corn laid her first egg yesterday (7 days after her prelay shed) and it is an obvious slug. This morning I looked in her laying box and there were no additional eggs.:shrugs: Has anyone had a similar experience? Is this normal? Does it normally take this long to lay the rest of the eggs? I could not find any answers to this question in Kathy Love's book so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks!

they can drop slugs a week before laying fertile eggs, chances are she has more but it might be a few days or even a week before she drops the rest.

does it look like there are any more eggs near her vent?
unless you notice a bulge that doesn't move for a long time, just leave her be, she will drop them when she is ready.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't know they could drop a slug that long before they laid. No eggs appear to be near her vent. I'll just let her be until she lays the rest.
