Ook, the Western hognose

jamay

"Serpent Science"
Here is Ook, my recently acquired western hognose. She is 2 1/2 years old and 26". She has a mate coming next week, a 2006 het albino. Can't wait to get him and prepare for future hoggies.

You know this is going to get moved into the general section right?

Regards.. Tim of T and J

Extremely docile with curious personalities. I have read that they flatten their heads and can hiss if they feel threatened and some strike with their mouths closed. I haven't see any of these bluff acts from Ook yet. When I open Ook's cage, she just looks up at me like a tired old dog, may or may not come over to smell my hand, and doesn't even react when I pick her up. She just goes along with everything.

No, I didn't know it would be moved. Is the photo gallery forum limited to corn snakes? If so, my mistake.

Cool. She sounds like a sweetie, in the last pic she even resembles a puppy dog looking up at you.

Yes Sir.. I didn't move your post, I am not a mod.. But yes, the photo gallery is for corns, and the general section is for everything else.. Not trying to bust your chops, it was just one of those rules made quite a while back. I don't think it will be an issue..

Ook has got to be the coolest name I've heard in a long time. I'm falling more in love with these hoggies every day too, she's a real beauty!

(btw, I just now caught the Bleach inspired names for your other snakes :D very nice)

You're the first person that has said anything me about it! I've been wondering when someone would recognize their names. Grimmjow is a terrible name for a girl but I didn't know her sex when I named her. And as for "Ook", my dad used to say "chonik ook" after sneezing. So you can only guess the name of the male hognose coming to me next week.......CHONIK!
