I'm thinking of buying this cage for my baby kingsnake. What do you guys think? Do you think he'll outgrow it? Do you think the heat light thing sounds like it would be safe / ok for the sole heating element?

That's a nice spacious cage. Be sure he's big enough not to squeeze in between the doors before you put him in! Maybe get it and save it for when he's older.

Isn't there a "trick" of putting a straw in between the doors??

I never use this style of door but I thought I read about that??

I'd buy it, but not for 60 bucks. It looks pretty good in the pics.
Looks like the heat lamp is well-covered too, that might do for heat if you can adjust it in some way.
I think it could be maked more better if you take out the lights completely and use a heat mat.

I think it looks great! The between the glass "route" is a good warning to listen to.

You'll also want to be aware of the possibility of the snake (if it is small enough) getting into the upper groove that the glass slides in. I had a snake get into that once... It took me FOREVER to figure out where he went!!! LOL. I put a small, tight-fitting dowel into there that leaves only enough room for the glass.
