I am sure I am overthinking this, but I want to make sure I am doing it right...
I currently have two digital thermometers with probes. One is under the substrate below the cool-side hide, and the other is directly over the UTH, under the substrate below the warm-side hide. I have the UTH on a digital thermostat (set to 85) which also measures/displays the current temperature, so I will probably move the warm-side thermometer to the top of the substrate because that is where Bunny hangs out... I've never seen her burrow at all.
My question: Do I keep the UTH at 85, or should the top of the substrate where the snake actually is be 85?
Obviously the UTH shouldn't be allowed to get too hot because of the risk of burns, but should I bump it up just a bit, say to 87-88, in order to keep the top of the substrate closer to 85?
