Paper Towel Rolls?

Is ok and safe for the snake to have a paper towel roll (the cardboard part) in the tank for the snake to hide or climb on??? Im just making sure its not toxic or anything...

I use them all the time for smaller snake hides and rodent activity things. I go through so many, my parents and grandmother save theirs up for me and I get a grocery sack full of paper towel and toilet paper rolls. lol

They work great. My son takes karate and some of the weapons they use come in large cardboard container, same TP roll shape. Cut in half, they're big enough for adults. My snakes prefer these over the other hides in their vivs. I've got a couple in the corner of my room to use as the others get soiled, but they last a long time. A local karate school would probably save a few for you if you asked them....Just a thought in case you like them........:dancer:

thanks for the information, i will probbaly do that once my snake starts to get bigger, right now he's still a baby

A baby would still love a toilet paper tube. I don't cut them in half; I just toss them into the tank, and the snake finds them.

I don't cut mine either, but I do squish them so that they are a bit flatter. The snakes seem to prefer them this way.
