ILOVECORNSNAKES

My lil Delilah!! ^^
Okay, I fed Delilah and José on Friday. I just bumped José and Delilah up to hoppers(yea, I checked their weights first) So today I was clicking around on CS.com and when I do that it makes me wanna hold mine. SO I went to get Delilah. They have never ever EVER had a problem with me holding them just after a feeding and its been 2 days, so please don't lecture me on holding them too soon after feeding. So I took out Delilah and I was looking at her, just to see if she had digested yet, and she looked normal from top, with a slight bulge were it was supposed to be. But when I looked at her underbelly the bulge was there, but at the beginning the bulge was noticeably bigger, and quite a bit harder. Is this just the mouses skull? Should I be worried, or am I just being paranoid?

Oh, and I checked José right after, just to see if I was being paranoid,(if he would have had it then I would have let it go) and he didn't show this.

I wouldn't worry about it just yet. Give her another day or two to digest. Seeing as how she just bumped up to hoppers it may be taking a little extra time to be digested. :)

Oooh, I really have no idea, because I never hold mine after feeding them -- until they come out of "digestion hiding"...:shrugs: I have noticed, though, that after they've taken in their dinner, that the lump from the underside looks oddly shaped, but I'm guessing that's also because of the shape of the mouse fitting inside of them...I don't know anything about the softness/hardness of it, though, because I try to never touch it. If you're just paranoid, then I need to be institutionalized with how I am post-feeding! :p I guess that I'd just wait for a few more days, see her poo, and then feel her midsection...

(By the way, isn't 48 hours the min. recommended time frame to allow for digesting? So, if you fed Fri, then I guess Sun would be ok...so, I wouldn't worry about a lecture...:) )

Not lecturing, but when bumping up a size you should give them longer then 48 hours without handling. No idea what it is you saw, I dont handle anyone til theyve pooped their meal, lumps or not, that is the only way to tell its been digested.
