Hello! I am a new member and a future corn snake owner. I care a lot about animals, so I've accepted the fact that I will not be able to have my own cornsnake for about 2-3 years. I'm self employed in the real estate investment business, so I'm going back to school for a certificate in Dental Assisting so I can have a better future for myself and my future corn buddy. Also, my current household is unfortunately a snake-free zone; I'll have to be settled in my own home in order to have my little buddy. So, patience and research it is! (I'm going to be "testing my knowledge" of my research in the Husbandry/Care thread since I feel it is more relevant there rather than just an introduction.)
Why a corn snake, one might ask? I think it is the perfect sized snake for someone like me. I'm a 5'6" female, so I'd rather not take a chance and get overwhelmed by a much larger snake. I'm a first time reptile owner. I fell in love with my friend's Red Tail but I know that getting a Red Tail would just be too much snake for me. That and... the morphs are overwhelming and amazing! I had no idea how many varieties there were! For some reason, Motleys (especially the Anery and Caramel) have captured my heart.
I'm so glad that I will become a future cornsnake owner and doubly glad that I found this forum! I might not be responding much on the threads, but I just can't resist the Photo threads! The progression threads are so awesome!
Thank you for the time reading this and I hope to become friends with many awesome corn lovers, both new and experienced!
