My year old corn is getting too big for his current viv. I'd like to find a size that will last awhile. I seen recommendations for the 20gal long tanks as a good size for adult corns. I also heard recommendations for 40 gal breeder size, but that seems overkill to me. The 30gal breeder seems perfect but impossible to find locally. What's your opinion? Would the 20gal long be big enough for an adult?
 
20 long would generally be ok, but it doesn't hurt to have a larger viv, provided you have the adequate hides, heat, etc.
 
I may just end up going with the 20 long for now and investing in something like a boaphile later on. I didn't want to get him set up in a new viv if he's likely to out grow it in less than year. I also wasn't sure if moving them into a new habitat would cause much stress.
 
If you decide to go with a regular aquarium, whatever size it may be, I definitely recommend going to your nearest petco to get it. Theyre having a dollar-per-gallon sale going on right now for 2 weeks, thats what I just did in preparation for my new baby corn. A 20gal long for 20 bucks aint bad.
Might want to call your store location though just to make sure they have the tank you want and you do have to have a store card to get the discount, which can be done when you get there

Oooh, awesome! I will call tomorrow. I love those sales, especially when you see 20L on Craigslist for $100. WITHOUT the damn snake!
