Wee little Hermes at 7 grams, the end of last November when we got him.

Hermes tonight, we weighed him last week and he's 50 grams. Using this pic to gather a guess at his length with our trusty ruler to the outside of his viv... he's an inch or two {figuring in the bends} longer than 2 feet, wow!

He wants to check out the female corn snakes here in the photo gallery ;)

Looking good! It's rather amazing how fast they grow in the first year and a half!

Wow- look at him! I still think of him as a baby...You've done a wonderful job growing him up!!

AWW! He was SO tiny! he looks like a jr high kid XD

LoL, that's what I always think of with that pic that he looks like some awkward kid in jr high. Is 2 feet-ish average length for a corn that's about one yr old? And thanks everyone, he was our first so is quite special to us :)

Thanks hypnoctopus, it's good to know he's on target after having to keep his meals on the small side for too long so he could pass them. Yes, his vent did completely heal... thank goodness, and it works great lol. It's deformed and he has no true ventral scale, if one at all. It's more like an indent, once it healed I only give it peeks and no true inspections/poking around. I figured I pestered his butt enough during the healing process, so give the kid some peace. I do keep an eye on it and pay more attention to if he's pooping okay more than our other corns.
