Picked up a male yesterday

The guy got it from someone and he didn't have any information on it. What morph is it?

Capturing his true colors is a bit difficult. He goes from orange at the head and nearly pale yellow/white/orange at the end in certain areas.

I plan on hooking him up with this girl in March:

Thanks!

So the male is an amel? Sorry, I'm not much up on corn snake morphology. What is an Amel? (in the meantime, I'll check the board here for answers.)

Yup, amel is an albino. Have one myself =D
Beautiful snakeys =D

You will get all amels het for caramel. Butter is the name for an animal that is homozygous amel and caramel.

Corn snake morphs are almost all simple-recessive. Each parent needs to carry at *least* one copy of the gene in order for some of the offspring to show that trait.

For example, I bred an anery A to a ghost (hypo + anery A). I got 15 aneries and 1 snow. This shows that Liam, the male anery, is most likely not het for hypo (he does not carry even 1 copy of the gene) but that both he and Tor *are* het for amel. They both carry one copy of the amelanism gene, but because it is only one they do not express the amelanistic trait.
