ILOVECORNSNAKES

My lil Delilah!! ^^
Heyhey, I'm looking for pictures of what my babies babies will look like. My comps. kinda acting screwy so I can't post pictures of them, but Delilah, my girly is a Anery (het. lav we believe, breeder wasn't sure) and José looks to be a normal, we have no idea what hets he is though. Anyone have an idea of what these two will look like????

I believe all will just look like normals and be het for anery. If your anery is het for lav then 50% of the babies will also be het for lav.

Have you searched for anerys and normals in the picture gallery? I'm sure you can find hundreds or more pictures of both morphs.

I'm not looking for individual pics of each morph, I'm looking for what one would look like crossed, and I thought about searching, but searches never give me the answers I'm looking for, so I started a thread.

You can't "mix" normal and anery. The anery carries two genes- both for anery. The normal carries two genes, probably both for normal. Let's assume both for normal. Each snake can give one gene to the offspring. So the offspring gets one normal gene and one anery gene. Normal is dominant. It takes precedence over any other color. Anery is recessive. So for a recessive gene to show up, the offspring has to get two of that gene. Since your offspring will all get one normal and one anery, they will all be normal colored. But they will all carry a recessive anery gene, so in the future, if they are bred to a snake carrying one or two anery genes, their offspring will be anery.

There is a book called Cornsnake Morph Guide which can teach you how all that works. It's a great reference.
