Does your camera have a macro setting? If not, I bet if you backed off a bit, you'd get your camera to focus better;)
Even still, I can see the contrast on Stella :)
 
unfortunately no macro. we've tried taking pics at various distances with little to no change. It seems that the focus is somehow more light and color dependant rather than distance.
 
Zach really did have some killer butter mots. I was really liking them, like, a lot. LOL! Not really a big fan of vastly yellow-colored ANYTHING, but these snakes of his were exceptional. The little girl that I picked up is such a sweetie. She loves to bury in the day and is pretty active at night. Great little snake that one. Can't wait until she fully colors out, I can forsee her being a very bright butter. I expect most all of his other butters will be as well. Just some awesome snakes. Wow. That's about the only way you can describe it: "Wow".
 
For half a second I thought I was being addressed. Haha! Wonton is my nickname. =D I'm glad to share it with such a pretty snake!
