Pine Hides

I bought one of them hides at pet smart that is a hollowed out pine log over in the reptile section. I was reading today that pine was bad for corn snakes and I have occasionally heard noises from his tank that sounded like sneezing. Do I need to get this log out of there?

Now I just read that pine bedding is bad for corn snakes. How bad is it? The breeder I buy from just sold me a bag of bedding almost as tall as i am for my new rack. Its the same kind he uses and he has been breeding snakes for many years. Its called America's choice, is this bad? I need to quit reading. i am about to have a panic attack...LOL

I don't think the pine hide is bad (I've been using them for a few years and you can seal it just to be safe), but the shavings definitely are not a good idea. Pine and cedar tend to leak toxins over time that build up in your snake. The best thing to keep corns on is aspen. At this point in time there's probably no lasting damage! Don't have too much of a panic attack :)
