okay, my snake has not been eating, it is a hatchling, it has been a month, i am SCARED, is it okay if i leave him in a box for three days, i mean, he won't have water, and he won't be at his normal temperature of about 75-80 degrees, and he is pretty slim on the neck, so i really need some good feeding ideas, anoles are really expensive too, if i feed him those, i will go bankrupt after a while!!! :( So please just give me some ideas on how to feed this guy, i try to feed him about every 4 days, i am tryin' crickets right now and they are makin' him get pretty excited. alright, please give me some info on this HELP!!!!!!!!!!

no!

Cornsnakes do not eat crickets! Do not fed those to your snake. For one they do not have enough nutrition for the snake. For two buy ONE anole. Freeze it. Buy some pinkies. When you are about to fed rub thawed pinkie all over anole. This way you can use the anole over and over again for scenting the mice.

Do not, I repeat do *Not* put your snake in any box for three days with no water. He does not need to be in a box with a prey item for more than overnight. Any longer is pointless.

Also he needs a temp of 80-85 on one side, and room temp on the other of his enclosure.

I suggest you read "The Cornsnake Manual" By Kathy Love. And also some caresheets online which can be found here:

And at Google.com by typing in "cornsnake"
