PIR Motion Detectors

I need to install an alarm system and most come with PIR Motion Detectors. I think these are activated by movement and heat.

Does anyone know if a snake will set these off?

I'm not sure how well they "see" through glass. I know they are extremely sensitive to movement, but some cameras let you set the sensitivity to human-size. I feel like people say they aren't effective through glass because of the IR- so you can't mount a camera inside to protect it from the weather, and expect to see the yard. So might not see snakes through glass? Probably not?

The latest security lights I purchased were activated via a form of doppler radar, so it's possible something using that instead of IR differentials would work better with reptiles.
