Despite being rather overweight, which would make the head look 'stocky', looks like I see the rat snake angle where the ventral scales make a 90º angle at their outer edges.
I see an elaphid, IMHO.
EDIT : and by "elaphid" I mean a "Family Colubridae, Genus Elaphe"-like snake.
An informal term, used similarly to "natricine" to loosely describe a group of phylogenetically related snakes with common characteristics.
As opposed to the elapids of "Family Elapidae", the mamba, krait, coral, cobra group.
