Let me just start off by saying that this year's expo was way better than last years. Last year, it was so crowded we could barely move, and we had to be rather pushy just to get to the tables to see the animals. This year, they moved it to a larger building, and we could actually move around and get to the tables very easily, and even sit and take a break at one of several empty tables they had set up in the back. Lots to see, too. I didn't see a ton of corns, but plenty of boas <3, tons of balls, of course, and I thought it was neat to see quite a few baby burms, despite the Lacy Act's restrictions. We met Brian Barczyk of BHB and Snakebytes (my son was of course too shy to take a picture with him). I also spoke at length with the gentleman from Reptile Basics, who made a very positive impression on me (making sure I had the right stuff, not just making sure he made a sale).

BUT, let's get to the important stuff. My wonderful wife gave me the green light to pick up something I've been coveting, and here she is (my pick up, not my wife ;)) She's an albino RTB with some coral/lipstick line in her. I got her from Dan Gorfain, of SoCal Constrictors. I'm way smitten with her. All I've got for you right now are a few poor quality pictures as she was unboxed and entering her temporary quarantine home. I really stink at taking pictures; she's way prettier than these pics show:

I'll try to update with better pictures after she settles in. Thanks for looking. Get to the show today if you can. You'll enjoy it.

ouu she's just soo pretty"
and i love her eyes, I have never seen an albino RTB before, she's neat for sure!

BTW, I'm sooo jealous you got to meet Bryan! :(

sounds like an awesome day to me!

Thanks Justine. It was nice of Brian; he made his way through the line as we were waiting to get in, stopping and talking to people. My son is so shy and wouldn't even look at him, much less take a picture with him; and he watches Brian's show with me all the time.

And thanks on my new girl. I'm in love ;)

aha! your son sounds a lot like I was when I was a little girl, lol I wouldn't leave my moms side, Much less talk to strangers! lol ..I guess I'm still a little bit shy but I'm way better than I used to be!

lol I'm glad you enjoyed the show!
I still need to get my but to one over here in Canada!
.. I've never been! but soo want too! lol

She's beautiful! I love her eyes. I saw a really nice Argentine boa at an expo I recently went to, but refrained lol.

Thanks. I really can't wait to get some better pictures of her posted. She has such beautiful pink blushing throughout.

She's been great. Just had her second shed with me (I really wasn't expecting another one so soon), so she's still a healthy growing girl. Haven't gotten her a new home yet, but I have gotten her current one much more comfortable for her.

Gorgeous! Congratulations! Boas are so cute when they're little... If only they didn't get so BIG, I would have more than one!

The show was so much fun! I waited until Sunday to go. Definitely lots to see. I got to hold a Black-headed Python, woohoo! Wish I'd gotten a picture, though. Met Brian, of course, and actually wound up buying a snake from his table (Kunasir Island Rat snake--so thrilled!).

Very cool, and thank you. Yeah, she's gonna be a big girl, for sure. I still just can't get over how much more enjoyable the show was than last year, I think primarily just because there was actually so much room to move around. Last year was like a mosh pit.

Updated pics

She took a f/t rat fuzzy for me today, following her week-long leave-alone time. Took a few pics too. I love her. I think that since my male BCI is Gatsby that I'll go with Daisy for her. Seems fitting.

Thanks for looking.

She is just exquisite.

Thanks a lot, Nanci. I am just crazy about her. She seems to have a great temperament also, so far. She's not hiding, or getting defensive with me, she's just totally chilled all the time. She really needs to work on her aim, though, when feeding. Wow. She missed by a mile the first time, haha.
