Have this year old corn that feeds on one large fuzzy every 7 days (Wednesdays). It usualy poos 2,3 days after eating but it hasn't done since the feed before last, more than a week ago. It had no problem being fed yesterday tho .... It looks like its going to poo as its bulgy near the cloaca, but it has looked like that for a while now. What do u guys recon?
Thanks Kim

Since you just fed it I would do nothing at the moment. I find that in winter when my house is colder it takes my snakes longer to defecate since their vivs are slightly cooler than in the summer.

If your snake does not defecate before the next feeding you can try letting him swim in a tub of water. You want the water to be just cool to your touch. I also recommend doing it in a plastic tub and not your bathtub since someone on this board had a rather scary time with a snake trying to get into the drain!

There are many owners that feel that having the snake take a swim is too stressful for them and not worth it - they will poop when they are ready. After your snake has had 3 days to digest his meal you can try just giving him more exercise to see if that makes him go. Also make sure there is ample water and humidity.

Thanks for the advice. Will probably try the exercise first. Not looking forward to it pooing on me though lol...

I'm betting exercise does it, too.

I had Maize out for a long time a few days ago. I set her on the carpet because I needed both hands for some reason. Next thing I know, there's a big poo on the carpet, and Maizey is sitting there with six inches of her tail held straight up in the air!! I ran to get my camera, but wasn't fast enough to catch that pose...

Her previous exercise-induced poo was in my hair/neck/shoulder area. It made me gag the smell was so strong!
