So my snake ate 3 days ago and has been hiding under her bedding the whole time since. Should she have pooped, is it buried under her bedding, should I dig for it to clean it out? Should I clean the whole thing to find it? Blarghn so much I don't know, so many questions, so too late! Bad snake momma over here...

Sounds relatively normal?

Depending on the age of the snake..... Finding poo may be a difficult task, but it's there. ;)

The older they get... The bigger they get... Along with what comes out the other end.

As for cleaning..... Spot cleaning...... If you find it.... Clean it up.

I believe most do complete substrate change monthly.

This includes cleaning the tank/tub/hides/furniture with a 10% bleach/water mix.

Making sure to rinse thoroughly.

I have heard some snakes only poo after a shed and some do it every week. After you give her two days to digest spot clean and look for poo but from what I understand it is okay if you don't find anything. Just check her while u handle her to make sure everythin by her vent looks normal and not swolen.. your not a bad snake mommy questions are okay.. and at least you are asking so u know.

I check for the previous meal's poo after every feeding while my corn is out of the viv in his feeding bucket. Hatchling poops are hard to find! Mine are usually a small dark brown blotch holding together a few pieces of aspen, that I just pick out with a scoop and toss. This last time though, I *think* I found the poo, but not totally sure, it was so small! If you miss one here or there, don't worry too much. As Rich said I believe the average is a full clean once a month or so.

When I first brought my snake home, she pooped on the way... which was 5 days after her last meal. Her first feeding with me, she pooped 4 days after. Her second feeding, she pooped 3 days after... see where this is going?
;)

I wouldn't worry. She'll go, if she hasn't already.
