Ive searched the froums and i thought i would ask ...my snake has not been poopin in his viv..i have gotten new aspen that seems to be harder and larger cut i put him in warm water the last couple times but its been over a week since hes has pooped..i fed him 2 days ago im not sure if going too long is harmful or not..he used to go every 4-5 days im thinking its the aspen in the tank..what do you think ???

First of all, Is this you or your mom typing cause it help with a reply.

Does the snake seem to be compacted? What are you feeding ,how often and where do you feed the snake. What ate you temps too.
But I would think what your doing is standard. Do you search through the aspen every week.
Sorry I can't help more. :shrugs:

I will agree with Lenny. How big is your snake? When mine were hatchlings, poo was often hard to find in the aspen.

Mine aren't that little any more and it is still sometimes hard to find the poo in the aspen.

Don't worry, he is likely going.

Aspen can make it extremely difficult to locate poo, as said before. The little black "crusties" can blend right in with the aspen, and the urates evaporate very quickly into a dry, white, chalky powder.

Usually, when my girl hasn't pooed between feeds, I will wait about 3-4 days after a feed, and then take her out and let her crawl along some towel or newspaper. The activity of the exercise will often bring about a bowel movement.

my mom is with me and types ..we both read so she is helpful..my snake is about 220 grams.'o5 have looked through the aspen daily ..when he goes it should be easy to find cuz theres lots of it.. im not sure what impacted looks like i will go look at him now he looks ok..we will wait thanks
