Hello all,

My username is Popeye, and I am a new cornsnake owner. I am a newbie, to being a snake owner, and as some of you may have noticed i have had my share of questions and concerns. I purchased a 5 foot long cornsnake, it is a male, and I have had some concerns, but you have all made it easy for me by being so informative. i thank you all for that. If any of you are in my area, please let me know, would be nice to have a contact in my area.

My snake is a Red Eyed albino cornsmake, or at least thats what i was told when i purchased him. I think he is presently mate looking, as he is not eating and seems very curious and constantly moving about. Wow never thought snakes were so active, glad I picked a cornsnake and not another species which seems to just sit and curl. He has had his first shed with me, and all good, came out in one piece, now maybe he will start to eat...cheers and thank you all.

I have no idea how old it is....as I have only had him since Feb 1st. He measures over 5 feet, closer to six. Can anyone guess his age? be nice to know.

Glad I could help! Just be sure to say "roughly" when talking about the age since you don't know for sure. You would be surprised at what some folks can be touchy about. Not really on this forum but elsewhere.

Not sure, never weighed him, dont have the scale for him, but he is almost six feet long...(5 feet +)...
